Six Mile Cyprus Slough Ride

Wednesday, January 26, 2011

Just down the road from my condo is a bike path which runs from Daniels Road up to Colonial on Six Mile Cyprus. Three miles down is the Six Mile Cyprus Slough. The Slough as we call it is where Mike and I had our first date; one of 3 places he took me that day. So we decided to ride the path from the house to Applebee's on Colonial, which is a 13 mile bike ride round trip. We like to schedule our rides at just the right time and on the right path that usually land's us someplace where we can watch a game and have a cocktail. This proves to be challenging on the way home for me but funny none the less. The Slough is a preserve with a mile and half elevated boardwalk that takes you around the park. I took a picture of a black racer snake sleeping in a nest. In the second picture are a few turtles hanging out. then me giving a kiss to the alligator bike rack!!
