It was a cool and breezy 72 degrees yesterday. You'll find the Mexican Ponchos out in some of the photos. Those things sure do come in handy at times. The weather wasn't so cool we didn't have another fantastic event at the Girls' Dorm!
Rylee requested "Fish & Chips" for her birthday party yesterday. So, it was a good excuse to clean the old fish out of the freezer. (Also, a good excuse to go fishing again!) I wasn't sure how many were coming, nor how far the fish would go. But, as luck would have it, it was just enough. I am so powerful! I set up 2 of our soup pot/ deep fryers on the outdoor kitchen. On one side stood I cooking "Secret ol' family recipe" bass and crappy, while Erica was on the other side fixin' up about five pounds of sliced Idaho spuds for chips. Oh my, was it ever wonderful. Pasta salad, cru d' tete , Thai cucumber salad, homemade tartar sauce and of course salsa, quacamole and chips rounded out the menu. It was a very nice departure from our normal bbq's. Wonderful stuff. Great friends and family. It's what we live for!
Don't you just love Rylee's new chair!
The Hicks Girls! Hugs around!
There's always somebody wanting to blow out your candles!
Kenya picking apples! Good girl!
Happy birthday Rylee, it was great fun!
