And then they were gone...

Well the time came and went so quickly! After 4 weeks of counting down the Lester's finally landed in Florida. After working a half day on Wednesday Sept. 2 (Happy Birthday Sister!) Greg and I zoomed out of Fort Myers and headed up to Tampa to pick up the family. Tampa is a 2 hr drive due north from Fort Myers and currently there are no direct flights on Southwest Airlines to Fort Myers and unless you want to pay an addition $200 a ticket, flying into Tampa from Boise is the only choice. Either way they got here!

Woo Hoo! Here we are!

From the airport we headed directly to Alan's house for a bbq and visit time! Morgan had school the next day so we were not able to take her home with us. After the bbq we headed to Fort Myers. Thursday morning I headed to work, after working a half day I had enough and headed home. I picked up the everyone and we headed to 'Alli Gators' for lunch. From there we headed to Fort Myers beach so everyone could relax and dip their feet into the Gulf of Mexico!

Pace yourself kids we got a long 5 days.

Friday was the day all the girls were waiting for...shopping! We took a trip out to the Miromar outlet mall in Estero. The girls had the chance to spend all of the money they had been saving. Rylee did quite well in the first part of the day while Ady was a little more conservative waiting until the latter part of the day to spend her money. Either way we all went home with sore feet and enough shopping to last at least a week!

Next stop...Aunt Mo's favorite beach, Siesta Key, and it's time to pick up Morgan. We hooked up with Alan on Saturday morning at the Dunkin Donuts in Sarasota and picked up Morgan. We headed down to the beach for a day of fun in the sun; some of us getting more sun than we bargained for! After 4 hours of playing in the ocean and jumping waves we rushed out of there so I could get Morgan back to Fort Myers for her follow-up eye appointment. I hope everyone loved this beach as much as I do! Erica getting the full affect of "Siesta", and Ady catching minnows.

Saturday night is party night!! The night my sister has been waiting for; time to celebrate her birthday and drink! I got the skinny on the best place to go where we could dance, drink and experience the beach all at the same place. My friends at work shared with me that the only place to get all of that is the Lana Kai Hotel at Fort Myers beach. So we donned our new threads, I airbrushed our faces and did our hair and we headed directly down there. Granted we were a little drained from the day at the beach, but we weren't about to let that deter us. With our designated drivers in tow, we drank, we danced and we walked on the ocean, it really couldn't have been any better! We should go there everyday!!

Birthday Girl!!

Sunday we were scheduled to head back to Siesta Key for the day, but given that a few of us were a bit burned we opted to hang at the house in the backyard and swim. It was so relaxing and fun just to hang out and chill.

Of course it's never long enough, and the time flies right by, but I am so grateful they had the chance to fly out here and spend time with Aunt Mo. Greg and I had such a great time and we can't wait for the next time they come out and visit us! So much to do...so little time. Stay tuned for Miami and Orlando.

So much fun, so little time. Looks like the big girls were lucky to have DDs. Chips off the "Old block".
