Uncle Michael Dean

Sunday, November 08, 2009

I just had a lovely long conversation with my brother. His birthday was yesterday. I sure wish I could have bought him a beer out by the fire to help him celebrate. But, for now, he'll just have to enjoy the card I sent.

We talked about many things. Mostly, he misses being online seeing and hearing about his family spread all over the country. Like he says, "They picked me up by the back of my britches and the scruff of my neck and threw me out of the 19th century straight into the 21st!" Now that he's there, he can't hardly get along without his internet connection, which he hasn't had for a few months. So, now we are trying to decide just what all he wants to be able to do so we know what kind of equipment and access to get him. I, for one, sorely miss reading his musings on life and stories of the goings on at the LMA Quarter Horse Ranch. Almost as much as he misses writing about them.

So, he is going to be up here the first week of December and we are going to see what we can do to get him set up with his own system. Maybe even a video/ still camera to go with it.

The next best thing to being here is being connected here. So, stay tuned for more Cowboy Poetry in the future.

And I'm suppose to let you all know, Mikey misses and loves everyone very much!

I think we all miss "Uncle Michael Dean's" stories and views from the LMA. He has a way of bringing all of us to the fire for a friendly chat. I for one can't wait to get back out there for a cold one in a warm spot.
