Fun in Fort Myers

Thursday, September 24, 2009

Well Linda finally made it down to Fort Myers. Greg had to pick her up from the airport on Tuesday because I had to work. I got home Tuesday night and there she was! I was so excited to see her, big hugs and lots of excitement. Greg was making dinner when I got home and we enjoyed grilled chicken with steamed broccoli and red potatoes, yummy! After a few cocktails and lots of catching up I had to head to bed to get up and work on Wednesday.

Greg was a gracious host and he and Linda went down to Bonita Springs beach to play in the sand and take a dip in the Gulf of Mexico! Thanks Greg for being such a good host. Wednesday work day is over and now it's time to party. Unfortunately I got home kind of late on Wednesday night, but not too late I can't enjoy the yummy fish tacos Greg has whipped up. More catching up more drinking...oh and rock band! Linda jumps right in and proceeds to show everyone she isn't scared to hang and show the kids her abilities.

Thursday morning, it's time to head off and see some sites. Show Linda a good time in Fort Myers. We stopped at our favorite breakfast spot in North Fort Myers called the "Oasis", yummy. (Clearly I like food) After breakfast we are headed to the Edison/Ford winter estates to take the tour and get to know the local history just a little more. This is a must do if you make it to Fort Myers. I had this plan for my parents as well...I promise to take you Mom and Dad when you get down here. Awesome tour and well worth the 4hrs we spent there.

Oh what a great time we are having. Off to Siesta Key tomorrow and then to pick up Morgan.

Looks like another great time was had by all. I might change my mind about Fla. if and when I get down there to see you. I haven't been to that part. Always nice to have a guide and host and hostess.

Love to all,
Grandma

Come on down! I tell you what we got lucky that we moved to Fort Myers. It kicks Tampa butt any day. Way more to do here! Greg and I love it here. Want to share with all.
