Ady informed me yesterday was the first day of Spring. It must have been. I had this uncontrollable urge to cook at my new outdoor kitchen. What a way to bring Spring in. We had chicken, salmon and sirloin steak. A new marinade made the steak worth fighting over. A beautiful salad and seasoned roasted potatoes to help the meal along. Erica brought French Bread for dipping in oils. We had to try out my new oil and vinegar cruets I brought home from the restaurant in Green Valley, where all the ladies took me for a birthday lunch.
Melissa and Greg brought the dogs, Felix and Vita, who never stopped running around the yard. Just like kids, they love the wide open yard. We enjoyed Melissa's account of her trip to the Tampa Bay area while indulging in banana cream pie.
The weather was beautiful and the food was good. I just want to spend all the time I can with my family while we are all still home. There will be many more wonderful times on the new patio.
(We talked good things about you, Mom, and are sending a lot of positivity your way! We miss you!)
Love to you all and hope to have another patio party soon!
(Sorry, no photos. The photographer is also the chef.)

Sounds like a great way to welcome spring in. I went shopping with Dawn Marie and Debbe then had a nice walk later in the day to the bench. Can't wait till I can enjoy all the new kitchen gadgets and eat from the new grill. Love you all,
The Mom
It was such a beautiful day it was hard to stay indoors. I love having family over to eat and spend time. Seems like we do a lot of socializing around food. Glad you are home and enjoying your family. Sounds like Ruth is doing good also. See you soon.
