Well, we made it. We got into Tucson after the milk run through Reno and LA about 1:30 yesterday afternoon. Made a beeline to the infamous American Legion Post 66 in Green Valley. Met the gang, had popcorn and libations,
checked football scores and headed to Bob and Mom's to start our visit. We had a lovely dinner of roast beef and all the trimmings, then took our glasses to the ramada and enjoyed the evening. They are suffering a cold spell here, so I think it only go up to 65 yesterday, but thank goodness it reached 71 today!
We went on a nice excursion today. Picked up Aunt Marie and headed for the San Xavier del Bac Mission. A beautiful site in the middle of the desert. Very interesting history. If I could remember any of it I would give you the details. We also drove up Sentinel Peak. It's kind of like Lizard Butte at home, they hold Sunrise services there too. But it affords you a spectacular view of the entire valley. You can see Arizona State University stadium from there very clearly.
Bob took us out around Old Tucson for more spectacular views and we stopped and took a few shots of the flora and fauna. It was much too bright out to get really good photos, but I think you can get the idea.
So, then we stopped at Tiny's. Yes, Tiny's! Can we go anywhere without a Tiny's I ask you? They had spectacular buffalo wing and fried zucchini. Yum!
All was fun, and then we headed home for more college football. It's that time of year!
