New Project

Yep, it's time for another undertaking at the Girls Dorm. It's been several years now since the city ran the sewer through our subdivision. At that time we signed up for the LID. But as you can guess, no one around here was in any hurry to tackle that job.

Since Chet and I have decided it's time to tear down the old awning and rip up the old patio to be replaced by bright shiny and BIGGER new ones, we will be required to hook up to the city sewer so we can tear out the septic tank before we enlarge the patio. He hopes to have most of this accomplished by the first of next week. I'm really amazed at how quickly he took hold of this chore and ran with it. He spent much time at the city building department getting all the ins and outs of what he needs for permitting, was under the house for a couple of hours putting together a bill of materials and figuring out his plan of action. Then he has already ripped out the railroad ties planter and old rose bushes so he can expose the piping and septic system. It won't be long now.

And, the whole point of enlarging the patio is have room for the new OUTDOOR KITCHEN! Yes, you know how I love to cook and entertain outside. My dream kitchen is going to happen. I would like to have it all finished and up and running by next spring. I'm soooo excited! THANK YOU, HONEY!

Boy when he sets his sights on something there is no stopping him. Way to go Chet. I'm excited about this, too.
