Melba Outlaws Season Finale

The Melba Outlaws sure knocked 'em dead at Firebird! Fabulous weather, great friends and so much winning, what a fantastic night!


The icing on the cake was Mikela Lewis winning a trophy for the semi-finals on what was, I believe, her second night of racing. She was more than enough competition for anyone who had the nerve to stage up beside her!

Could this be a bit 'o trophy envy? Nah, Paul and everyone of the Outlaws were pullin' hard for Mikela to advance.


As Chet went out in the second round, you could still see a great big grin on his face, as all his hard work into "Little Red" this season has paid off. His first trial run of the day tied him his fastest time ever at 12.25 seconds! So what does he do but best that with a 12.24 on his second time trial. But, that wasn't about to satisfy the "Little Red Engine that Could". His first round he throws down a 12.14!! A little wishful thinking puts a 12.11 on the glass for round 2, and he breaks over the line with a 12.16. Nevertheless, it was a fantastic last night for Little Red!


It was a great night of racing for all. The Oultaws were pronounced the Season Club Champs well before the end of racing. It seems they were somewhere near 600 points out in the lead by nights end. Truly a great end to another great season of racing.
