We had a very busy weekend last weekend and I talked about the races and I talked about Mother's Day, but I have neglected talking about a milestone in our lives that also passed over the weekend. Chet and I celebrated our 5th anniversary! I find it hard to believe that I have loved this man for 34 years and always wanted to be his wife. Now I have been for 5 years. It's almost too hard to comprehend. We have found a love and a life that most people can only dream about.
Chet had to work a couple of hours in the morning, but planned on being home with me for the rest of the day. He showed up with two dozen of the most beautiful red roses and the most perfect card, which had me in tears for some time. We spent the day doing things together. Nothing special, just chores that come around every spring. Chet worked very hard helping me clean out the fish pond and getting the hottub it's spring cleaning and maintenance. I can't tell you how much that meant to me. We finished up just as the thunderstorm blew in and poured rain. It was a beautiful day. We cleaned up and headed to the Sandbar in Marsing where we enjoyed one of the best meals I've ever had . We were seated by the window next to the river and enjoyed Prime Rib and Lobster while gazing at the view. I'm sure we will be visiting the Sandbar again in the future. It may just be an annual event on May 6th.
Just so you all know and can rest easy, while enjoying our wonderful meal (thank you John), we came to the conclusion that we would give another 5 years to this union and then maybe see how it goes....... Of course you all should know by now that we are both ecstatically happy and are shopping for our old age rocking chairs together!
I wish this kind of happiness for all of my family and friends....
Thank you all for loving and supporting us!
