Changing Seasons

Thursday, October 07, 2004

Football is in full bloom and Baseball is ending its series championships. The Yankees tied the Minnesota Twins last night in a 12 inning sweep by two to end the game 7-5. Go Yankees! The seasons are changing once again and it's time to pull out the sweaters and coats for a long 5 months of windy weather and frost bitten toes. We all know this is the time of the year where we tend to get down in the dumps waiting for the sun to shine once again. All of you know the feeling you get the day after Christmas when all of the toys have been opened and all of the food eaten, that you anticipate the summer. You all know what I am talking about.

To keep the seasons from getting us down I would like all of us to think of something different that we would like to try this winter. Whether is be volunteering (which is something that Morgan and I will be doing) or a family trip to Sun Valley for sledding down 'The Big Hill'. Morgan and I will be making some trips to the ski hill this year for sure! In addition, I would like to plan an overnight trip to Cascade and stay in a lodge and maybe ski or sled or snowmobile. If there are any other ideas any of you have I would love to hear them. Lets hope that if we have to endure this winter season that we get blessed with some snow in the valley that allows us to play a little bit. Happy season!

Oh please don't make me think about winter! I have already been pushing it out of my mind. Even football doesn't hold the same fascination for me (GO BRONCOS!). But, I think we will be plenty busy this winter getting a new store open. If we have time to play, count me in!
